Sound healing tools used to support relaxation, grounding, and nervous system balance.

Reiki Healing

A gentle, trauma-informed Reiki experience supporting nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and whole-person healing.

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-off) energy-based practice that supports relaxation, stress reduction, and emotional balance. At Bright Aura Therapy & Wellness, Reiki is offered as a trauma-informed, complementary service designed to support nervous system regulation and overall well-being.

Reiki sessions are provided by trained practitioners who work within a grounded, professional, and emotionally safe framework. Clients often seek Reiki to support stress and anxiety, emotional overwhelm, burnout, grief, sleep difficulties, or a desire for deeper mind–body connection.

Reiki does not replace medical or mental health care. Instead, it may be used on its own or alongside traditional therapy as an integrative support. For clients engaged in counseling, Reiki can help promote relaxation, body awareness, and regulation — creating a supportive foundation for therapeutic work.

Our approach prioritizes safety, consent, and individualized care, whether you are new to energy healing or seeking a more clinically grounded Reiki experience.

Reiki at Bright Aura Therapy

A Reiki session at Bright Aura Therapy & Wellness is designed to feel calm, supportive, and respectful of your comfort and boundaries. Sessions take place in a quiet, welcoming space where clients remain fully clothed and may choose light touch or hands-off energy work.

Many clients describe feeling deeply relaxed, grounded, or more connected to their bodies during and after a session. Some notice a sense of emotional release, mental clarity, or gentle shifts in awareness. Others simply experience rest — which can be especially supportive during periods of stress, burnout, or emotional overwhelm.

Reiki sessions are client-led and consent-based. There is no expectation to talk, process, or “perform” in any way. You are welcome to rest, reflect, or simply receive support in a way that feels right for you.

Reiki and Mental Health — An Integrative Perspective

Reiki originated in Japan in the early 20th century as a gentle healing practice focused on balance, relaxation, and overall well-being. Often described as an energy-based practice, Reiki uses light touch or hands-off techniques to support deep relaxation and body awareness.

From a modern clinical perspective, Reiki is commonly understood as a practice that may help activate the body’s parasympathetic (rest-and-recovery) nervous system, which plays an important role in stress regulation and emotional balance. This connection has led to growing interest in Reiki as a complementary support within mental health and wellness settings.

Research examining Reiki has found associations with reduced stress and anxiety, improved mood, and enhanced quality of life in some clinical studies and reviews. While the evidence base varies in quality, these findings suggest that Reiki may support nervous system calming and emotional regulation when used alongside other forms of care.
